Colle di Chianni—“the hills of Chianni”—is an agriturismo set among the gentle, rolling landscape of the Valdera in Tuscany. We (Pepijn & Veerle) traded busy Amsterdam for the Italian countryside to start a family and build a different kind of life: simpler, more intentional, and centered on what matters most to us—healthy food, an active outdoor lifestyle, and genuine connections.
With pride, we continue the ancient local tradition of olive oil making. Our organic olive groves produce a top-quality extra virgin olive oil, rich in antioxidants and known for its distinctive, full flavor.
What our kids love most, though, are the strawberries in spring. We grow the Dutch “Lambada” variety, famous for its soft sweetness—and under the Tuscan sun, they taste even better.
Casa di Mimi—where our youngest daughter Mimi was born—is our recently renovated luxury apartment, available for guests who want to experience the best of Tuscany in comfort and tranquillity.
Chianni
The town is small but vibrant. From April through September, locals and visitors gather on the terraces of bars and restaurants to eat, drink, and socialize. In November, the famous “Sagra del Cinghiale” (wild boar festival) brings the community together with food and festivities that brighten the start of winter.
Located in the heart of the Valdera, Chianni is an ideal base for exploring historic hill towns—and it’s still close enough for day trips to the sea.
